Your Hosts
We are a German couple in our fifties who left our corporate lifes behind. In summer 2023 we relocated to beautiful Baja California Sur in Mexico.
We are fluent in English and French. We also speak some Spanish and Russian at a more basic level.

Parking
You can park your car on our property. We have also space for a caravan trailer.

Just a few steps away – at the Las Palmas Hotel – you can indulge in a breakfast and obtain a day pass to enjoy the swimming pool.
What our Guests are looking for
Our guests are couples or singles seeking a tranquil escape with easy access to the pacific ocean. Imagine opening your eyes in the morning and seeing the waves breaking at the shore. Perhaps you can even spot a whale as you start your day. Surfers will love to walk to the nearby surf break, ready to catch the perfect wave.
Relax on our upper outdoor terrace where you can enjoy a reading good book in the shade or gaze at the stars as night falls. You can also use this space as a spot for undisturbed yoga practice.
About Casa Ola Azul
We bought Casa Ola Azul in 2024 after discovering it in the spring of 2023. It was built around 10 years ago by a Canadian in the style of an Anglo-Saxon castle. Casa Ola Azul still offers a number of architectural and landscaping projects that we can complete in the next few years.
We plan to spend most of the winter months here and are looking forward to welcoming friends.
Good to know
Please be aware that our homeoffice is also located on the first floor and we may maybe need to use it during your visit. Rest assured, we will do our best to leave you as much privacy as possible.
The property is still subject to some small improvements. As a result, certain areas may resemble a construction site at times. However, your guest room and bathroom are completed and ready for your stay.

Cerritos Beach is located on the Pacific coast of the Baja California Sur peninsula in Mexico. It is located around 65 kilometers northwest of Cabo San Lucas.

By Car
From Los Cabos
To get from Los Cabos to Cerritos Beach, take Highway Mexico 19 north on the west coast of the peninsula towards Todos Santos. At kilometer 67 you will see the Baja Safe Storage building on the left.
Take the left exit at kilometer 65.5. (at the level of the Paletas Bar Grill and Restaurant which is situated on your right side.)
From here, follow the blue signs to Las Palmas Hotel. Our house is just a few meters north from the hotel, adjacent to the Boutique RV Park.
From La Paz
From La Paz, drive south towards Los Cabos, approximately 80 kilometers. Follow all traffic rules especially in this section of the route.
At the Todos Santos exit, continue on Highway 19 without turning off. The next town is El Pescadero.
After passing El Pescadero you will soon reach the first exit to Cerritos Beach on the right.
However, we recommend to take the second exit at kilometer 65.5. Please be aware, that this exit can be hard to spot.
From now on please follow the blue signs to Las Palmas Hotel. Our house is just a few meters north from the hotel, adjacent to the Boutique RV Park.
By Bus
The Autotransportes Águila buses run between Los Cabos and La Paz. You have to get off in El Pescadeo. We will pick you up.
By Bike
If you are riding the Baja Divide, after about 1620 miles, between the official Komoot stages 60 and 61, you will reach the Highway 11 towards Todos Santos. Now you have to ride a some miles back south and you can stay overnight with us. We are enthusiastic cyclists and are loooking forward to hear your stories.

Cerritos Beach
At the beach of Cerritos Beach you can find nice beach bars, restaurants, surf rentals, surf classes and massages.
If you go a little away from the beach, you will find even more bars and restaurants. During winter time there is a wide range of offers to enjoy life music.
If you need groceries, the shop “El Sol” is only a few minutes by car away. On block away from our house you find a little laundry.
Between Cerritos Beach and Todos Santos
If you head north from Cerritos Beach towards Todos Santos you pass by the village “El Pescadero”.
You can do so by taking the highway or by driving along the beach. This road is bumpy but you can be inspired by more ocean impressions and the designs of the upper class neigbourhood “El Gavilan”.
Before you hit the highway from this side, you will cross the green vegetable fields of El Pescadero and find the Café “Baja Beans”, where every saturday verious artisanal products are offered on the market.
Punto Lobos
Between Cerritos Beach and Todos Santos you can find the beach “Punto Lobos”.
The ocean experience is a little different to Cerritos. The beach is steeper and the waves are a little more compact. It is very pleasant there, but not suitable for unskilled swimmers.
Excursions
Sources of Santiago – Daytrip
The Sources of Santiago are located half way to the Sea of Cortez. Already the way there offers nice views as you drive throuth the mountains of Baja California Sur.
When you arrive at Santiago you reach the sources by a downwards hike. You have to climb a bit. The reward is a really nice bath in the gorgous sweet water lake with a waterfall.

Cliff walk Gavilan – Half day
The region between Cerritos Beach and El Pescadero can also be discovered by a 2-3 hours walk. Enjoy the cliff views by hiking along. More solid shoes are recommended.
